Atletico Madrid to Sign Udinese Keeper Scuffet

18 year-old keeper Simone Scuffet is set to join Atletico Madrid in a deal worth 5 million euros with added bonuses potentially rising to a fee of around 9-10 million euros.

Scuffet rose to fame last season with Udinese as a 17 year-old with the youngster overtaking former first choice keeper Brkic as the man between the sticks for the second half of the season.

His performances have caught the eye of several teams, but it seems that he is destined to join Atletico who are going through a period of a small rebuild after Thibaut Courtois returned to his parent club Chelsea for good this time.

It is believed that the Spanish club will have a week to decide on whether to formalize the transfer according to Gianlucadimarzio and after securing the signing of young Benfica keeper Jan Oblak, they would most likely loan Scuffet out as he is a purchase for the future.

Spanish La Liga side Getafe is a likely destination for the upcoming season for the Italian youth-international with Granada now behind after initially being the leaders.

The boy who is hailed as the next 'Buffon' made 16 appearances in Serie A last season and will look to build upon that in Spain.

West Ham Need to Increase Bid to get Konoplyanka

English Premier League club West Ham United have reportedly got the all clear to sign Dnipro star Yevhen Konoplyanka from the player it self but they will need to increase their bid to strike a deal.

According to reports from ESPN, the 24 year-old forward has given the all clear to the Hammers to sign the player but an initial 9.5 million pound bid is not enough to prize the player away from his Ukrainian club.

Dnipro does not want the player to leave for anything less than the release clause of 12 million pounds and the West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold will decide to either increase their bid or look elsewhere.

The Ukrainian side has been hard to deal with in the past with Liverpool having already met the release clause for Konoplyanka in January only to have the Dnipro president refuse to sign the necessary paperwork to complete a deal.

Konoplyanka scored 13 goals from 36 appearances in all competitions last season with the 37 time Ukrainian international providing a further 9 assists as well in another stellar season.

Roma Pushing for Bayern Munich Midfielder Shaqiri

Italian Serie A side AS Roma have formed a strategy to try and sign Bayern Munich and Swiss international superstar Xherdan Shaqiri who is set to leave the club during the summer due to lack of match time.

Bayern Munich have supposedly got a 20 million euro price tag on Shaqiri which would be in fact a cheaper alternative to the likes of Douglas Costa, Andriy Yarmolenko and also Juan Iturbe who are fellow targets of Roma and whose clubs are wanting 25 million euros or more for their respective players.

Bayern Munich is also interested in signing Roma defender Mehdi Benatia and the use of Shaqiri in a player exchange plus cash could also be spoken about in negotiations with the Moroccan seemingly on the verge of an exit at the Italian side.

Shaqiri would also be a very versatile player for the club if he was to join with the 37 time internationally capped player being able to play on both sides of the wing as well as behind the striker in the central attacking midfield role.
