The 25 year-old has never played outside of Switzerland and after excelling for several seasons, now might be the time he makes the next step into one of Europes top tier of competitions.
It is believed that Hertha Berlin have their eyes on the attacking midfield player according to German source Bild and a bid of around 9 million euros would be enough to tempt the side into selling.
However, Hertha are not the only team interested in the 22 time international with the likes of Schalke, Borussia Dortmund, AS Roma, Borussia Monchengladbach and Zenit all recently linked with Stocker's signature.
Stocker has been a very important fixture in the Basel set up with 44 appearances in all competitions with 11 goals and 14 assists to his name.
