The former FC Twente player only moved to the EPL just one summer ago and now could be on the way out since the club were relegated from the top flight and would potentially be forced to sell players due to ambition of the players themselves and money.
It appears that Fer's next adventure could be in Italy with AC Milan showing real interest in the player who would be available for around 7 million euros.
A very affordable price for Milan despite not having the spending power which they once possessed but with Kaka gone and the likes of Robinho and possibly Balotelli to follow, more cash would become more freely available.
The 24 year-old could also be tempted into a move there with fellow Dutch international Nigel De Jong currently at the club.
Fer has made one appearance at the World Cup so far after doing enough to impress to get into the 23 man squad with a substitute appearance against Chile where he was able to get on the scorecard.
