The 19 year-old has received a lot of interest from around Europe with the likes of Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona all closely following Correa's rise.
But it seems that none of these sides will be able to poach him from San Lorenzo with Atletico set to sign the player with a 5 year deal and a fee of around 8 million euros being close to an agreement according to Tuttomercatoweb.
Correa looks almost certain to follow in the footsteps of countryman Sergio Aguero who made the big move to Atletico at the age of 18 in 2006.
