Monpellier president Louis Nicollin has confirmed that the likes of Stambouli and also Remy Cabella will be sold at the end of the season.
This will come as good news to Lyon who are probably going to need to find a replacement for Maxime Gonalons who has been a key player for the club for many seasons but now looks set to make a move away with Napoli the most probable destination.
They view 23 year-old Stambouli as the ideal replacement but depending on some factors, they may choose to replace Gonalons internally with Jordan Ferri possibly gaining a bigger role in the team which would be more financially suitable for the 5th on the table Lyon.
Marseille are also interested in Stambouli but has said that he may prove to be too expensive to afford for the team.
