The capital based club has been on the lookout for a new left-back with only Dodo and Balzaretti currently the side's only full blooded players in that position with the latter being injured for almost the entire season and could subsequently be released.
The club has placed Manchester City star Aleksandar Kolarov as their main target but a fee of 12 million euros plus an annual wage of 4 million euros has put the club off.
A move for Barcelona's Adriano has been mounted instead as a more financially viable move and according to the Corriere Dello Sport, both sides have reached an agreement to the transfer of the player.
It is now up to Roma to find an agreement with the player before any move can be properly finalised for the 29 year-old's departure of Spain.
The Brazilian made 38 appearances in all competitions this season with the club unable to secure any trophies after losing out in all title fronts.
