The 29 year-old centre back has been pivotal for the side which are on top of the La Liga with just two more games to play including a most likely Championship deciding match against the Catalans next weekend.
Spanish newspaper El Confidencial is reporting that the Camp Nou side are looking at making a move for Miranda in the summer who recently was not picked in the Brazil's 30 man World Cup squad.
Miranda, who is also on the radar of Manchester City, will not be allowed to go for a figure less than 20 million euros and has reiterated his desire to remain under Diego Simeone.
If a substantial offer was to come in for Miranda, Atletico would most likely accept because they've already got a replacement in mind should he leave in the form of Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.
