The Italian side offered 5 million euros for the defender but this was knocked and now the side have come back with a 7.5 million euro bid which has been agreed to by the Eredivisie side.
There's only one major thing left to agree which is the structure of how the payments will be made. Lazio want to pay over several installments over time while the Dutch club want it paid in full before June 30 according to reports.
After finishing in a lowly 9th spot, Lazio want to make changes to their squad in the summer in order to get themselves back up the table with De Vrij a brilliant player to help make that transition.
