The 27 year-old Russian born Finnish international has previously played in Italy with stints at Siena and also Udinese and could be in line for a return with AC Milan seriously considering a deal to bring the player to the San Siro.
It is believed that the agent of Eremenko is going to Italy to discuss the possibility of a move which has been given the okay by his Russian side.
A deal could happen in two different scenarios, reports Gianlucadimarzio.com. This could be a loan for the 2014-15 season providing that Eremenko signs a renewal to stay at Rubin but a swap deal is the other option with Valter Birsa going the other way with some sort of small cash payment to balance the deal as well.
The former Dynamo Kyiv player scored 8 goals and provided a further 7 assists in all competitions over a span of 39 appearances.
