
The player has a standout season for Sevilla helping them to the Europa League plus a fairly decent finish in La Liga despite losing the likes of Negredo and Navas at the beginning of the season to Manchester City.
But now it looks as though Sevilla will need to replace Rakitic with it believed that he will make a move to the Camp Nou for a fee of 20 million euros on a five year-deal.
The former Schalke player could replace Cesc Fabregas who is leaving the club for what seems like back to the Premier League to either Manchester City, Arsenal or Chelsea.
Rakitic will join young starlet Alan Halilovic as the side's second Croatian who agreed to join the club a couple of months ago.
The attacking midfielder scored 12 goals and made 12 assists from 34 appearances last season in La Liga.
