
It is believed that the two side have agreed upon a transfer fee of 6.5 million pounds according to the daily star and will now sort out a contract which is around 2.5 million pounds per season hopefully before the World Cup kicks off.
The Monpellier player was part of a historic Ligue One win a couple of seasons ago and is just about the last of that group of players to have remained at the club with the likes of Belhanda, Giroud and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa already gone and of course the latter currently at Newcastle.
And now he too will follow in search of making that next step forward and despite interest from other bigger European sides, Cabella will look to Newcastle because of less competition and probably also due to the French connection at the team as well.
Cabella made 37 Ligue One appearances last season with a total of 14 goals and 8 assists being contributed to his side's mid table finish.
