Lasogga Joins Hamburg Permanently from Hertha Berlin

Hamburg have permanently signed German forward Pierre-Michel Lasogga from Hertha Berlin after the 22 year-old spent the season there on loan.

They have captured the German youth international on a five year-deal after he scored 13 goals in just 20 appearances and even more so scored the goal which enabled Hamburg to win their playoff to stay in the Bundesliga.

Lasogga will now join the club permanently for a fee of around 9.5 million euros and will become the second signing of the summer for the club after they signed Zoltan Stieber from Greuther Furth.

"It's fantastic that this transfer has now been perfected and that my situation has been resolved," Said the 22 year-old. "I'm delighted that I can continue playing for HSV. I hope that this will be the start of a new and successful era and I'm pleased to be able to do my bit in the creation of a new Hamburg."

"In just a short space of time, Pierre has settled in and become a crucial member of our team last season with his execellent performances and important goals," director of sport Oliver Kruezer said about their new signing."I'm delighted we've been able to tie him down to us in the long term."

But with the fantastic coup of signing Lasogga, they have however lost their star of the side with Hakan Calhanoglu leaving for Bayer Leverkusen after an outstanding season at the club.
