With the futures of Ashley Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard in doubt, Mourinho would potentially have to bring in some homegrown talent in order to meet requirements.
The Express is reporting that the Blues are after 19 year-old Mats Daelhi due to being classed as a home grown player because of his involvement with the Manchester United youth set-up before moving back to Norway to play with Molde last Summer.
Daelhi then made the move to Cardiff City during the January transfer window to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Norwegian legend who went to Cardiff also in January and brought Daehli to England to play under him.
Daehli is also a player with a very bright future which would mean that they would benefit the Chelsea side in more ways than one.
Daehli has made 12 appearances for Cardiff this season and has one goal to his name also.
